After trying out many cafe’s around town this is by far the best food, coffee, and service. Would highly recommend.

Twenty 8 acres is a relatively new place located in the backstreets of Redfern behind the University of Sydney. It’s agreat quiet spot for good coffee and has a friendly culture and staff who actively seek for your comfort.
The owner took the effort to remember my name and was open to receiving feedback. The Eggs Benedict was also particularly good on a toasted brioche.
Coming in from overseas heavily jet-lagged, I ordered a simple poached egg & toast from the co owner, not having the presence of mind to study the menu. I asked for his toast recommendation (thankfully the only option) and he suggested Irish soda bread, saying it was healthy (he’s Irish).
The toast, as everything else with this meal far exceeded my expectations. It was moist and tasted heavenly with a bit of butter. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the herbs & salad complemented the flavors. The setting was urban cottage. The service was tops, friendly without being fawning. Sadly this gem isn’t open for dinner, but that’s OK – better to focus on quality before quantity. I’ll be back, probably every morning of my stay at the adjacent Adina hotel!
